Advertising is the world's oldest profession

during early 70s in USA  one of the most popular advertising slogan was " Try it, you will like it ".this prompts me to think that these must have been the very words with which Eve offered the apple to Adam. Advertising could well claim to be the world's oldest profession; it certainly is a hoary one.
